LINE MANAGER SUPPORT
The Postgraduate Certificate teaching programme involves a Wednesday class from 4pm to 7pm for 10 weeks in each
semester. The programme normally takes two years to complete.
Most papers include an action research component which may involve practical work-based projects or initiatives to
assist the staff member develop their leadership capability. Managers need to be able to support such initiatives and
negotiate how this can be managed within the individual’s workload.
