Benchmarks performance for the University of Waikato 2014 Staff Survey against:
• Results from 2012 and 2009*
• 39 other Universities from Australia and New Zealand
• Voice Project’s normative database compiled from over 2700 organisations from a
wide range of professions and industries broadly representing the Australian economy
The following definitions were applied throughout the survey:
• “Senior Leadership Team" (SLT) = Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Deans, Pro-ViceChancellors, Assistant Vice Chancellors, Chief Financial Officer, Heads, Director of
Development, and Tauranga Liasion Manager
• “Manager” = The person you report directly to
• “Customers/Stakeholders" = The groups for whom you provide a service. This may include
both external and internal clients /customers - these could be students and/or staff within
your own area or from other areas of the University and/or external organisations.
*Note: The 'Teaching & Research' question was answered by all staff in 2012 and 2009, while the 2014
results are based only on
academic staff.
