Time-stamped “before” photos of the areas to be renovated (jpeg format). They must include: o Wide view of property o Complete views of each area to be renovated o Existing plant/materials in and around the areas to be renovated, clearly shown Landscape Design Requirements • • • • Replacing a minimum of 300 sq. ft. up to 1,000 sq. ft. of maintained, high water-use turf. Front yard must have at least 50% plant coverage at maturity. Entire design closely follows the Seven Principles of Xeric Design. Staff reserves the right to deny a design if it does not follow the principles of xeriscape, principles of landscape design, and/or is not projected to achieve long-term water savings. All landscape plans must be to scale with: o Customer name and address o North arrow o Scale (must be 1”=10’ or 1”=5’), drawn on the plan o Date o Legend complete with list of plants o Labeled pre-existing plant materials around and within the area to be renovated including trees, shrubs, perennials and other features (such a fence or walkway) that will remain but are near the area to be renovated 10/26/16 Irrigation System Requirements • • • • • • • Pre-existing irrigation system retro-fitted for efficiency and tailored to each hydrozone within renovated areas. Drip emitter size must match the bedding plants’ hydrozone need. Drip zones in renovated area must have an in-line pressure reducer. Remaining turf areas are recommended to be retrofitted with high-efficiency nozzles. Participants may utilize the Utilities Efficiency Works Conservation sprinkler system equipment rebates. An irrigation evaluation of the renovated area will be completed at the final inspection. All irrigation plans must be to scale with: o Customer name and address o North arrow o Scale (must be 1” = 10’ or 1”=20’), drawn on the plan o Date o Legend o Location of the following (within renovation area only): System controller or listed manual/hand-watering device type Backflow device or water source location Existing sprinkler heads and type of heads • A zone cannot contain two different types of irrigation equipment. Rain or soil moisture sensor location (note existing or planned) Irrigation zones in your installation area o Notes with plans and equipment that will be used to adapt existing irrigation equipment to efficiently irrigate your new landscape 10/26/16
