Approval of Agenda o Arnold motioned to approve an addition of a resolution related to new charter school proposal in neighborhood, Mark seconded, all voted in favor o Monte motioned to approve agenda, Lisa seconded, all voted in favor 4. Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting on March 19th, 2015 and Special Meeting on April 21st, 2015. o Monte motioned approval, Arnold seconded, all votes in favor 5. Public Participation (limit to two (2) minutes with prior sign-‐up required) o Megan Cusik – Rodgers Park Neighbors for Public Schools, CPS parent and librarian § Noble proposing two charter schools in the area – one on Irving and one in Rodgers Park § A group is developing a resolution that neighborhood high schools’ LSCs are passing, elementary schools in the neighborhood have voiced their support as well • Reaching out to alderman and state senators for support • Gathering support for neighborhood community groups (e.g. baby wranglers in Rodgers Park) § CPS is forming neighborhood advisory councils, unclear what constitutes a neighborhood in this process, start date is unclear also § Ultimately, charters schools could threaten the vitality of neighborhood schools – first and foremost a resource issue 6. New Business (30 minutes) o Approve check to UIC Forum for senior graduation payment for $10,218.15.
