Resource Management Plans For Western Oregon - Quick Start Guide Tools All tools to help navigate the viewer, make a comment, and get oriented to a specific location are under the “I want to…” menu: Click to dropdown tools: ○ Zoom to an area of interest: There are four choices: County, Township, Recreation Management Area (RMA), and Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC). ○ Make a comment about the RMPWO: A Personal Information popup will tell the user the terms and conditions of what it means to give personal information in a comment. A user is able to submit a comment without providing any personal information. A user must check the box, acknowledging the terms and conditions in order to proceed with making a comment. If an email address is provided, the email address will be cc’d the comment email we receive. Attachments are optional. There is a 10MB attachment limitation and more than one attachment can be chosen, as long as they do not exceed 10MB in total. These documents or images should support a comment. Comment period expires August 21, 2015. ○ Remove Layer Filters & Highlights: Clears any layer filter that was applied or any yellow highlight. ○ See and Modify Layer Visibility: Opens the Map Layers panel on the left hand side to allow a user to toggle layers on and off. ○ View Data on the Map: Retrieves information on layers in the interactive map. If features are found with this tool, a table will appear at the bottom with attributes of the data. This tool has the same functionality as the Right Click > What’s Here option described below. o Return to Initial Map Extent: Sets the map extent to the initial extent. o Print a Map: Allows a user to view a printable map of the area of interest. Map Layers o Check the box next to a layer within a group to make visible on the map. o Use the Transparency Slider to adjust transparency. o Click the minus sign next to a group to minimize a group of layers. o Click the Show Legend button to view the map Legend. o Click the Show Layer List button to return to the Map Layers. A Few Tips o o Use the and button to zoom in and out. Right click on the map for more information and click “What’s Here”. o Type in the search window to retrieve records that match your search.
