Please note the sales and use tax collected in November is predominately from October sales but also includes delinquent collections from prior periods. In November 2015, sales tax collected in Fort Collins was $547K above the amount budgeted. Year to date, the City has collected 3.3% more sales tax revenue than budgeted, for a net gain of $3.1M. November Use Tax Budget to Actual Excluding Rebates. In November 2015, use tax collected in Fort Collins was $2M over the amount budgeted. Year to date, the City has collected 55.9% more use tax revenue than budgeted for a net gain of $9.6M. 1 Figure 2. In November 2015, sales tax collected in Fort Collins increased 4.9% over November 2014. Sales tax collected totaled $8.6 million compared to $8.2 million in 2014. November Use Tax Collected. The total use tax collected in November was $3.6 million, an increase of 5.1% compared to last November. The estimated use tax collected in November related to economic incentive agreements was $842 as illustrated on Figure 5. This amount will be rebated in the succeeding calendar year. The net use tax collections for November totaled $3.6 million for a net 5.1% increase. Total Sales and Use Tax Collected. Total tax collected of $12.2M was 5.0% higher than last November. 3 Figure 6. The sales tax collected in November for the downtown area increased 3.3% from the same period in 2014. Lodging Tax Collections. The City collected $135,985 in lodging taxes in November 2015. This was an increase of 11.5 % from November 2014. Sales Tax Licenses. There were 11,147 active sales tax licenses at the end of November. 6
