Using Video Everywhere
Previously, if you had a webcam built in or connected to your computer, you could record a webcam video on YouTube
and upload it to the site and embed the video directly in Blackboard. This feature is being turned off by YouTube.
You can still record using software on your computer and then upload the video to YouTube.
ALTERNATIVE #1
1. After recording your video and uploading it to YouTube.
2. Select “Record from Webcam”.
3. Sign into YouTube.
4. Click on “Browse”.
5. Click “Insert” next to the video you want to add.
6. Click “Insert”.
7. Click “Submit”.
ALTERNATIVE #2
1. After recording your video and uploading it to YouTube.
2. Log into YouTube.com
3. Click on the (3) dashes on the left-side of the page.
4. Click on “My Channel”.
5. Click on the “Video” category.
6. Select the video you recorded.
7. Copy the URL listed here.
8. Return to Blackboard.
9. Click on Insert/Edit Embedded Media.
10. Paste the url into the File/URL
11. Change Type to “Embedded Audio” or “Iframe”.
12. Select “Insert”.
13. Click “Submit”.
