Our 14-day try-before-you-buy trial membership lets you try the club absolutely free, with no risk or obligation, before you decide to become a member. We want you to meet our staff, meet the other members, and give us a chance to earn your business. At the end of 14 days, if we haven’t earned your business then we don’t deserve to have you as a member. Can I get a deal of any type? We pride ourselves on treating every single member the same every single time; therefore, we don’t make individual deals with new members. We also guarantee that any new member who signs up after you will never pay a lower price then when you joined. What are the incentive gift packages about? We understand we have competition and use the gift packages as a way of saying thank you for choosing us. We appreciate your business and we use these opening gifts as a way of showing this appreciation. Most new members also are looking for that little extra incentive that will help them make that final decision to get started on a fitness program. The gift incentive packages, which include a gym bag or backpack, training sessions, and other cool perks, are often just enough to help that member on the fence take that final step and join. How do I get started? It’s simple. Call the club or stop by and any of our membership staff can help you choose the right membership for you and the paperwork only takes about 15 minutes. Do I have any other payment options? You may pay monthly with an annual membership; take advantage of our no commitment membership; signup with a short-term membership good for up to three months; or use the club on a daily or short-term limited basis. We also offer several methods of payments including EFT or just good old paying by cheque or credit card. The club also offers a number of solution-based programs, such as our weight management department, where you do not have to be a member to take part. The First 30 Days Many of our members start their fitness program with their own agenda and simply want to know how they can get the most out of their fitness experience in the shortest period of time. Keeping this in mind, our staff offer their suggestions as to how a member can get the most from their memberships in the shortest period of time. The following is their suggestions as to how you can be more successful in your personal search for fitness: Know your club 1) Make sure you know and understand all the services and amenities Flex it offers so you can work with the staff to create a map to success. Many members start first and find out later that the club offers support and guidance in areas that will help them reach their goals that much quicker. 2) Have our staff introduce you to someone in the fitness department so you have a point of contact for questions related to your goals – book your first orientation appointment upon joining the club. 3) Explore the facility and acquaint yourself with all the programs and equipment available, look for your favorites and try something new. Know yourself 1) Work with the fitness staff to complete a comprehensive assessment of your current fitness levels including movement, general health screening and fitness history. These factors are critical in building a successful plan for reaching your goals. 2) Create a realistic schedule that is fun and empowering – many new members dive in too fast and over commit their time and energy. Build a plan that fits into your current lifestyle and increase your commitment a little at a time. Schedule your time at the club and book it in advance. 3) Hiring a personal trainer short-term or long-term is a great way to make sure you can get the most out of your membership. A qualified trainer will save you tremendous time and focus you on your goals by creating a concise individualised plan. Working with a personal trainer also creates accountability for your time scheduled and keeps you motivated. 4) Utilise both the fitness and nutrition services your club provides to maximise your efforts and achieve your goals. Your club provides several options from specific nutritional guidance and programs to convenient supplements and snacks – use this expertise and these tools to accelerate your success. 2 5) Take advantage of your floor trainers. Use them to help you learn new equipment that you may have never used before and build rapport with them to help you create accountability and adherence to your goals. 6) Leverage the variety your club offers – an example would be incorporate group exercise into your program for variation and motivation. By incorporating new activities and exploring other areas of the club you will truly maximise your membership and your outcomes.
