Ergonomic Workstation Assessments – revised from March 2013
Dear Mr Tallentive
Thank you for the opportunity to present a quote for Ergonomic Workstation Assessments for staff
within your organisation in Sydney, Canberra, Albury and Wagga Wagga.
RehabCo have been providing Ergonomic Workstation Assessments to a range of organisations
throughout Southern NSW and Northern Victoria for over 17 years. This has included large and small
organisations from both the private and public sector in metropolitan and regional areas. This
experience provides us with a considerable level of background, expertise and resources to deliver a
quality product that will be of benefit to CSU. As you would be aware RehabCo is a provider of injury
management, workers compensation consultancy and industrial relations services. As a result, we
work significantly with industry in the management of their human resources, seeking to minimise
the impact of workers compensation through injury prevention, time lost due to injury and improve
general business productivity. Due to our knowledge in this area, a range of organisations have
requested that we provide ergonomic workstation assessment and onsite education to minimise the
risk of injury and improve employee productivity, health and wellbeing.
You have requested that a one page summary report outlining the issues identified and the
subsequent recommendations for each employee that is assessed is provided. Upon completion of
the assessment the staff member, their supervisor and the OHS department will be provided with an
electronic copy of the Ergonomic Workstation Assessment Summary Report. Where equipment may
need to be prescribed, RehabCo are of the understanding that CSU will supply a list of commonly
prescribed items and relevant CSU suppliers so that items can be recommended within the Summary
Report. RehabCo are acutely conscious of the potential impact of our recommendations. We will not
make recommendations that will potentially lead to unintended industrial issues within your
workforce. Any recommendations that are not standard in respect of commonly accepted
ergonomic design would be discussed with CSU prior to this being included in a report and prior to
this being discussed with the worker being assessed.
