Workers Compensation and the
CSU Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Optum (CSU’s EAP provider) have confirmed that in order to avoid a potential
conflict of interest, their counsellors are NOT to provide a service to Charles
Sturt University staff members, through EAP, as a treatment for a worker’s
compensation matter. Optum has advised their counsellors accordingly.
If you are intending to lodge a claim for workers compensation in relation to an
illness for which you require counselling services, you will need to ensure that
your doctor refers you to an independent service provider.
