Troy University’s Bachelor of Science in Interpreter Training provides graduates with the content knowledge and skills necessary to be licensed deaf interpreters. This program meets societal needs by training
interpreters for employment in various settings where they will serve deaf and hard of hearing populations.
TROY’s Interpreter Training Program is often chosen by students who are:
• Preparing to work as deaf interpreters in areas such as colleges, public school or as freelance interpreters
• Looking to enter work in human services areas such as vocational rehabilitation, early childhood
education, and social and mental health agencies
• Seeking employment in theaters, libraries, companies, museums, or any other public or private
arenas in which deaf and hearing people interact
