Hellgate Overlook Recreation Opportunity Guide Visitor Information: Hellgate Overlook sits high on the cliffs above Hellgate Canyon and offers spectacular views of the Rogue River, Hellgate Canyon, and Hellgate Bridge. This site has been designated a Watchable Wildlife area for viewing osprey, great blue heron, waterfowl, and cliff swallows. The best viewing season is from May through October. Use Season: Year Round Fees: None Location: Parking is available in a small lot adjacent to the road. It is dangerous to venture onto the cliffs beyond the rock walls in the parking area.
