Industry research in the spotlight
Research focussing on pasture mixes, legumes for high rainfall zones, crop sequences, and weed and
disease management will be the focus of this year’s Graham Centre Cropping and Pasture Systems
Field Forum.
Researchers from the NSW Department of Primary Industries and Charles Sturt University will
present their trials and results to farmers, advisers and students.
Graham Centre Director Professor Michael Friend encouraged growers and industry representatives
to attend the Field Forum.
“The purpose of our Cropping and Pasture Systems Field Forum is to discuss recent research in crops
and pastures, and also consider the future role of the site,” Professor Friend said.
“While this year’s format differs from previous years, the opportunity to hear about latest research
findings, followed by a visit to the site, addresses the feedback from past forums of considering
cropping and pasture issues in separate forums.”
“We are looking forward to some good discussion and debate at the forum and in the future, about
the constraints and opportunities facing our production systems,” Professor Friend said.
The Cropping and Pasture Systems Field Forum will be held on 2 September, 2015, 8.30am -3pm, at
the Convention Centre, CSU, Wagga Wagga. Morning tea and lunch will be provided. To RSVP please
