Cascades Field Manager, Salem District at 503-315-5969 or Terry Fennell at (503)-375-5678 For Release: August 18, 2015 Snow Peak Road, Trailhead and ACEC Closed Due to Extreme Fire Conditions Salem, Ore.— Due to extreme fire conditions and recent forest stand treatments that have resulted in an abundance of dry, ready-to-burn fuels, the Snow Peak Trail Road (11-2E5.2 Rd), Trailhead and Area of Critical Environmental Concern (ACEC) are closed to all public access. Although the closure is temporary, it will remain in effect until conditions improve. The Snow Peak Road is closed off Neal Creek Access Road (10-2E-23 Rd) near the town of Jordan, east of Stayton.
