Beginning September 23 until May 30, 2016, there will be heavy equipment and log trucks on Fall Creek Road. Fall Creek Road is used by mountain bikers to access the Alsea Falls Mountain Bike Trails. Fall Creek Road will be available for public use, passable on foot and bicycle, each week from Friday 5 PM through Sunday. There will be frequent closures during the week. This land, known as the National System of Public Lands, is primarily located in 12 Western states, including Alaska. The BLM also administers 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation. The BLM's mission is to manage and conserve the public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations under our mandate of multiple-use and sustained yield.
