For Culvert Replacement on September 2-4
Salem, Ore-- The South Fork Alsea Backcountry Byway, which connects the towns of Monroe and
Alsea, will be closed to traffic, 8 miles west of Alpine, on September 2-4. Visitors to the Alsea Falls
Day Use Area and Campground will need to use Highway 34 through Alsea to access the
recreation area. There will be no bypass for through traffic.
