BLM to Host Volunteer Work Day at North Bank Habitat Management Area
Roseburg, OR- The Bureau of Land Management has planned a volunteer work day
to perform habitat restoration to benefit salmon. The work will take place on the
North Bank Habitat Management Area, 12 miles east of Wilbur. Volunteers will
help remove invasive weed species. The work day is May 17 from 9 A.M. until
noon.
The event is planned in coordination with SOLV (Stop Oregon Litter and
Vandalism); please RSVP on their website at: www.solv.org
The event is limited to the first 20 people to register on their website. Please register
with SOLV by May 15.
Please wear work boots and bring gloves and hand pruners (if available). Be aware
that there are steep slopes and poison oak in the work area. A barbeque lunch will be
provided to all volunteers.
