Saturday April 21st
Beach clean-up and recreation site maintenance day - Patos Island, Washington
Participants will clean-up recent winter storm beach litter and/or perform recreation site maintenance for the
seven designated campsites, trails and around the historic lighthouse.

Beach clean-up and recreation site maintenance day - Lopez Island, Washington
Participants will clean-up recent winter storm beach litter and/or perform recreation site maintenance for the
BLM lands of south Lopez.

Beach clean-up, nonnative invasive plant removal and recreation site maintenance day - San Juan Island
Participants will clean-up recent winter storm beach litter, remove nonnative invasive plants and/or perform
recreation site maintenance for the BLM lands of Cattle Point.

Environmental education (Earth Day and Energy Fair) - Roseburg, Oregon
BLM co-hosts a booth at the Douglas County Fairgrounds with the Umpqua National Forest with a theme of
“Take a Hike”—storytelling, touch box, games, activities, outreach, prizes, costumes, lots of fun. Wildlife
biologists and techs will assist at a separate booth teaching about International Migratory Bird Day.

Crook County Cleanup – Prineville, Oregon
Participants will collect trash, plant trees, remove invasive plants and enhance habitat.

Sunday April 22nd
“Procession of the Species” parade - Lopez Island, Washington
Participants will dress up as a species of their choosing and parade through the Lopez Village. As a day of
awareness and appreciation for the diverse array of plants and animals in the San Juan Islands the Procession of
the Species parade will be lots of fun and filled with festivities, music and food.

Saturday April 28th
Annual Spring Earth Day event in partnership with Molalla River Watch
Work includes river corridor clean-up, trail enhancements, and invasive species removal.
