A letter of approval will be sent to the first 24 to register. These people must send back all the required paperwork within three weeks
of receipt. Payment does not have to accompany paperwork at this time. If the FSSP administration does not get the paperwork back
in a timely manner, the next person in line will receive an acceptance letter and also must abide by the three week rule. This year
will be slightly different in the respect that the first 24 students to register will be entered in a lottery and randomly picked to receive
a full scholarship to the program minus a $15 snack fee which the student must provide. The number of sponsorships is not known at
this point. In the past, there have been 7-8 sponsored students each year. If the student is not able to attend, the $15 is nonrefundable,
but the student should make sure that FSSP administration knows of the absence so that another student may be able to gain the
sponsorship funding. All students are not guaranteed to be sponsored.

2013 attendees
The program will feature five days of crime scene
investigation, based upon the field of entomology.
We will learn about the life cycle of the common
insect and how this knowledge can help determine
the various aspects associated with the death of a
victim. We will also learn about the field of forensic
toxicology and how this knowledge can help to
determine the differences of drugs that are prevalent
in today’s society.
Participants cannot be fearful of collecting and
handling insects. Insects are a great help to
forensic biologists and chemists in determining
the when and how of the victim’s death.
