The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lakeview District Office will be conducting prescribed fires in Deep Creek area of Lake County, February 3 - 7. Fuels that will be burned are juniper hand piles. The overall goal of this burn is to restore wildlife habitat and reduce the fire hazard and intensity.

Deep Creek Prescribed Burn
Lakeview, Ore. – The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Lakeview District Office will be
conducting prescribed fires in Deep Creek are of Lake County, February 3 - 7. Fuels that will be
burned are juniper hand piles. The overall goal of this burn is to restore wildlife habitat and reduce
the fire hazard and intensity.
Smoke from this prescribed burn could impact travel near mile post 19 and 20 on Highway 140
