Southeast Oregon Resource Advisory Council Meets July 13-14 in Burns
Lakeview, Ore. – The next Southeast Oregon Resource Advisory Council (RAC) meeting is
scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, July 13-14 at the Harney County Community Center located
at 484 N Broadway in Burns, Oregon 97720. The two-day meeting is scheduled for Monday 1 to
5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 8 a.m. to noon.
Monday’s meeting agenda includes review of the April meeting minutes and April field trip,
discussion of the Vale Tri-State Fuels Project, discussion of role of RAC and management
recommendations for stewardship of public lands, including Lands with Wilderness Character.
This will be followed by public comment, update on Sage Grouse Planning efforts, and a member
roundtable.
On Tuesday, the RAC will hear updates from the Designated Federal Official and agency
representatives, discuss member and subcommittee updates, including Wild Horse and Burro
subcommittee, and have an open public comment period. The meeting will wrap up with final
thoughts and future agenda items.
The public is welcome to attend all portions of the meeting, and can contribute during the public
comment periods at 3 p.m. on Monday and 11 a.m. on Tuesday. Those who verbally address the
RAC during the open session are asked to provide a written statement of their comments or
presentation.
