This afternoon, firefighters remain concentrated on a spread of fires that range from the Lamb Ranch/Warm Springs Reservoir area south to the Beaver Table/Twin Reservoir area near Venator. These two groups of fires are being categorized under a single name - the Buzzard Complex - for management under a Type 2 Incident Management Team. A Level 1 evacuation notice is issued to residents along Hwy 78, from mile marker 35 near Windy Point, to mile marker 47 near the Virginia Valley Road. Level 1 is a basic notification that there is a wildfire in the area, to be advised of the situation, and to begin preparing for the possibility for full evacuation. The Harney County Sheriff's office and Oregon State Police are in the Crane/Princeton area to issue the evacuation notice and provide guidance to residents as needed. In addition, all access roads into Warm Springs Reservoir are closed until further notice. This includes entrances off Highway 20 East, off the Stinkingwater Access Road, at Juntura, and at Riverside.

Level 1 evacuation notice issued; fire activity increase with afternoon
winds
HINES, Ore. – This afternoon, firefighters remain concentrated on a spread of fires that range from
the Lamb Ranch/Warm Springs Reservoir area south to the Beaver Table/Twin Reservoir area near
Venator. These two groups of fires are being categorized under a single name – the Buzzard Complex
– for management under a Type 2 Incident Management Team.
A Level 1 evacuation notice is issued to residents along Hwy 78, from mile marker 35 near Windy

The Gumboot fire, north of Riley near Dry Mountain and Miller Canyon, continues to display intense
burning activity and has both air and ground firefighting resources on scene.
Updates regarding evacuation notices and road closures will be provided as early and often as

should expect increased firefighting equipment on roadways and in the air, and avoid active wildfire
areas at all times.
Fire danger is HIGH and public use restrictions are in effect across Harney County. The Industrial
Fire Precaution Level is a level two, which limits personal woodcutting to those hours after 8 p.m. and
before 1 p.m. Use extreme caution when traveling through and recreating in the outdoors this time of
year.
