Guest Speaker: Clara Khayat-Nordblom Born in Aleppo, Syria, Clara Came to Australia with her husband and two children in 1989,
and lives in Wagga. While working in the social welfare sector, Clara followed her interest
in reading on Islamic studies, Philosophy and other subjects earning a Master of Arts
(public and contextual theology) from Charles Sturt university in 2013. She has a loves
exploring the scriptures of the three Abrahamic faiths. While working with the Wagga
Wagga multicultural council and Centacare Clara assisted the settlement of refugees from
different faiths and backgrounds and witnessed the refugees' courage and faith carrying
