After adding the RSS link to iTunes, the recordings will be automatically downloaded into your iTunes podcast library. Installing iTunes To download and install iTunes on your computer 1. Go to https://www.apple.com/au/itunes/download/ 2. Uncheck the options (unless you wish to be emailed) 3. Click Download Now and select Save (select the appropriate location on your computer you wish to save it to) 4. Once it has finished downloading, install iTunes You will need administration rights on your personally owned computer and installer’s rights on CSU owned computers to download and install iTunes. Finding the RSS feed links in CSU Replay 1. On the link provided for your CSU Replay site in Interact2, you’ll notice the RSS feed icon at the bottom left hand side of the page. Page 2 of 5 2. Place your mouse over this icon to display the Podcast (audio only) and Vodcast (videocontent and audio) links. 3. Click on the appropriate RSS Feed recording type (Podcast or Vodcast). 4. Once selected, you will be presented with a new window. Highlight everything in the address bar and copy the text (right click and copy). Note - you only need the information in the address bar so don’t worry if the page displays errors. 5. Open iTunes. Page 3 of 5 Adding RSS link to iTunes 6. Once iTunes is open, click the file menu and select “Subscribe to Podcast…” 7. Paste the link from step 4 (right click and paste) in the “Subscribe to Podcast” box. Please make sure the URL begins with https:// Remove anything before the https:// if it appears. 8. Press OK. Page 4 of 5 Accessing subscribed podcasts 9. In iTunes - click the podcast menu icon and then click the “My Podcasts” button. This will display your feeds in the left hand column as well as shortcuts to recently updated and unplayed recordings. 10. To view a subject’s full feed – select the subject in the left hand column so it displays in the My Podcasts window and click the “Feed” option. 11. Click the cloud icon/s on the right hand side of the My Podcasts window to download the recording/s your computer or device. The cloud symbol represents a recording that hasn’t been previously downloaded. 12. Once downloaded, double click the recording to view/listen to it. Page 5 of 5
