Edit Recordings
You can edit either an Echo (a captured lecture) or additional resources (imported media) in CSU
Replay Central. You may
 remove the beginning or the end of the file (known as trimming top ‘n tail)
 remove a segment from the middle)
To login to CSU Replay Central
1. Go to CSU Replay Central at http://www.csu.edu.au/csureplay and the CSU Replay login
screen will appear, prompting for your details
2. Type your username and password and press Enter (or click Log In)
Editing a recording
You can use Edit to change both the metadata (information about the Echo – such as Title,
Description etc) and to perform edits on the actual Echo (crop the start or the end, for example).
You can edit the metadata at any time but there is a 30 day limit on the ability to edit the media
without additional steps.
Editing Echoes older than 30 days
Echoes older than 30 days no longer have the Edit Media command available. To restore the ability to
edit that Echo you must download it in your preferred format and follow the steps in the Import Media
guide to upload it so it can be edited.
To edit a recording
Perform the following steps
Open the file to be edited
Specify the edits to be made
Commit edits, if applicable
After editing the file, you can do the following:
Save the file. This command commits your edits but does not publish the file to students
Save and process the file. This command commits your edits and makes the file available to
students
Save a copy to a different course or section
