How do Hosts add content before a session? 1. There are two ways to add content. These are from: i. your Online Meeting room; ii. the backroom in Adobe Connect Central. It is recommended Hosts load and run through content for an Online Meeting before the meeting is conducted. 2. Hosts can upload the following file types: jpeg, png, MP3, MP4, swf, ppt, pptx and PDF. Loading content from Your Online Meeting room 1. To add content from your Online Meeting room Hosts can: • • • • select Pods from the top menu bar; open a share Pod; click on the drop down arrow next to Share My Screen; and select Share Document. 2. The following box will appear. 3. Click on Browse My Computer to upload files. 4. Remember Hosts can upload jpeg, png, MP3, MP4, swf, ppt, pptx and PDF files to display to attendees. 5. The content you upload will be available: i. within My Content and Share History; ii. always to display with attendees during a meeting held in that room. Loading content in Adobe Connect 6. Another way is for Hosts to add content is in the backroom of Adobe Connect Central. Hosts can do this by either: o selecting Content from the Create New bar on the Home tab; or o clicking the New Content button on the Content tab. 7. The following box will appear. 8. Under Select Content File: • • • click Browse to locate the file; click its name; and then click Open. 9. Enter a title for the new content file (required) and a summary (optional) in the Enter Content Information text boxes. 10. (Optional) Enter a custom URL (if you do not assign a custom URL, the system automatically assigns one). 11. (Optional) In Summary, enter information about the new content. 12. Click Save. 13. The file is uploaded to the server and appears in the content folder.
