How do I play recordings on ipads and other mobile devices?
Summary
Hosts, Presenters and Participants/students cannot play flv recordings directly on ipads and other mobile
devices. Students with IOS devices are unable to play .flv files.
There are several ways to play recordings on ipads and other mobiles. Two are:
1. Mobile device users can:
i.
download the Puffin Web Browser
There is a full app or a free app that “comes with two weeks Adobe Flash support.”

ii.
open the app and copy the url of the flv recording into the url bar.

iii. watch the recording on their mobile device
2. If Hosts have created an offline recording and imported it into CSU Replay as described in How
do Hosts download recordings and make available in CSU Replay? (PDF):
i.
Mobile device users can:
• access the CSU replay link
• download the recording

1. Academic staff Hosts can talk to their Educational Designer (ED) or Educational Support
Coordinator (ESC) to ask for assistance in any element of this download process. If it is a CSU Replay
