Director Transformational & Service Provider Accounts, Cisco South Africa
Craig is the Director for Cisco’s Transformational Accounts and Service Provider business in South
Africa, having taken on the role in August 2010.
Craig is a 15 year Cisco veteran having joined Cisco in 1998 as a Systems Engineer with a focus on
voice in the Enterprise market. After only five months with Cisco, he obtained his CCIE (CCIE 4497) in
March 1999. During 1999 Cisco SA started up the Service Provider Line of Business. Craig joined the
team as the Telkom Service Provider Systems Engineer. For the next three years he gained
experience working on the Telkom account, with a specific focus on MultiService and then
progressed to become the country SE for Service Provider voice.
In 2001 Craig became the Lead Engineer on various ISP accounts within South Africa. At the
beginning of 2004 Craig transitioned to an Account Manager position within the Service Provider
team. In this role Craig worked on Service Provider accounts. Craig was then promoted to Regional
Sales Manager for the Service Provider Challenger business in August 2006 where he led the
business for the next three years .
Craig was promoted to Director of Operations in August 2010 and in 2012 Craig took on
Transformational Accounts responsibilities leading Cisco’s top strategic accounts across Public
Sector, Enterprise and Service Provider. In this role Craig also has responsibilities to the Cisco SA
management team and works on various councils within Cisco.
Craig holds a position on the independent selection panel for the .ZaDNA board for the Ministry of
Communications and forms part of the University of the Western Cape Steerco committee for the
Department of Computer Science. He lives in Johannesburg with his three daughters.
