kids were exited to have a real live monster

The Magic Hatch
Written & Ilustrated by: Bailey E. 4-P
A boy and a girl found a silver egg. They wondered what thing would come out
of it. Maybe it was from a wild creature. What if it were empty? The boy wanted to
make scrambled eggs. The girl agreed. When they went home to cook the egg on
the stove, something magical happened. The
egg started to crack. The crack started to leak
shining golden light that became a big bird
shape. Then a giant beam of light came out in
every direction from the bird. The lights faded
and became dull. A golden bird appeared and
screeched very loudly. He raised his wings and
flew away.
The girl thought that was bizarre and so did the
boy. They walked into town to forget about this
but they saw two people that were causing
trouble. These people asked the boy and girl
for money. The kids ran but the robbers were
catching up with them. Suddenly, they heard a
loud screech. They knew that sound. It was the golden bird and it swooped down in
front of them coming between them and the robbers. The kids knew the bird would
protect them. The bird made a giant gust of
silver wind, blew the robbers away in a great
tornado and then flew away.
Later that day, the golden bird came back.
Golden birds do not have that long to
live. He told the girl and boy that one day
another golden bird would come to them.
The golden bird made a final screech, flew
up into the air and burst into a bunch of
golden stars.
