Safety at CSU At Charles Sturt University (CSU), the safety and security of staff, students and visitors to our campuses is paramount at all times. Security services are offered 24-hours a day, seven days a week at all CSU locations (except Canberra) by Bluestar Security. On campus security officers patrol CSU’s Bathurst and Wagga Wagga campuses all year round. At our other locations, security services are provided through a combination of on campus staff, mobile patrols, 24/7 emergency response and static guarding. CSU campuses are very safe places. We want everyone’s experience on campus to be a positive and enjoyable one. If you do require the assistance of security they can be contacted 24-hours a day. CSU and Bluestar Security maintaining a safe campus Meet Chris… Chris is one of our dedicated officers here to help keep you safe and secure when you are on a CSU campus. • CSU security officers are easily recognisable, wearing blue shirts, branded with CSU and Bluestar Security logos, navy pants, black boots and security lanyards • security vehicles are white, branded with blue and black Bluestar Security signs and fitted with rooftop beacon and security lights • all CSU security staff (in person or on the phone) can assist in any situation requiring security assistance • prevention goes along way – CSU security staff are available to chat to on a range of security topics, such as maximising personal safety on campus, avoiding theft, self defence, car and bicycle safety, incident and crime reporting, and first aid assistance • safety on campus is everyone’s responsibility – report a crime or suspicious person to a security officer immediately • noise curfews are enforceable on campus after 10pm • security can be contacted for wildlife issues such as snakes, possums, kangaroos.
