Eligibility Checklist for 2017 entry to
Bachelor of Veterinary Biology /
Bachelor of Veterinary Science

For all other applicants, due to the competitive nature of this course CSU strongly suggests that you complete this check list
before you consider filling out the application form.
To be eligible you MUST tick all boxes in A or B:
A
You are a school leaver
or B
You are a current or previous university student
Have a UAC number and added this course as a
preference
Have a UAC number and added this course as a
preference, or a current CSU number
Have completed or will complete Year 12 within
the last 7 years. ATAR equivalents & Unilearn
are not eligible.
Have completed a minimum of one year full time of a
bachelor degree (or higher, excluding Graduate
Certificate) within the last 7years
Have reached or are likely to reach an ATAR of
≥90, including the 5 point CSU Regional Bonus
where eligible (See
www.csu.edu.au/oncampus/getting-touni/regional-bonus for eligibility)
Have achieved or are likely to achieve the minimum
required Grade Point Average (GPA) for the years of
degree completed (See Admission Requirements for
details)
Supplementary applications open on 1 August and close the last Friday in September. Please refer to UAC’s website
(http://www.uac.edu.au/ ) for their opening and closing dates. Late applications will not be accepted.

As a selection requirement, you MUST be able to tick the “Essential” boxes below to be eligible for consideration for
entry into Bachelor of Veterinary Biology / Bachelor of Veterinary Science at CSU.
ESSENTIAL
Have gained animal production experiences, eg cattle, sheep, horses, goats, pig, poultry etc within the past 7 years,
preferably at a commercial enterprise
AND / OR
Have gained veterinary clinic experience within the past 7 years, preferably in rural or regional areas
AND
Be able to provide references or proof of placement for all experiences
To be competitive for a place in Bachelor of Veterinary Biology / Bachelor of Veterinary Science, you should be able to
tick most of the “Highly Desirable” boxes below:
HIGHLY DESIRABLE
Have studied the Sciences and high level Mathematics for Year 12
Have studied a science based degree
Have an understanding of unique ethical issues that confront veterinarians involved with rural and / or regional
veterinary practice
Have an understanding of unique practical issues that confront veterinarians involved with animal production
D
AND MUST
Be able to attend an interview in Wagga Wagga within the four business day period commencing the
first Thursday in December.
Be able to commence the course next year (you cannot defer this course)
