JOHNS HOPKINS BLOOMBERG SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
The Moore Center for the
Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse
The Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse brings public health
expertise and perspectives to the complex policy issues related to child sexual
abuse by engaging in original scholarly research, agenda-setting public discourse
and policy analysis.
Note from Our Founder
Child sexual abuse has done enormous and untold
damage to our society. It is one of the most
underreported crimes in the country and a top concern
for parents and communities. Yet, unlike nearly every
other behavioral or public health concern, we haven’t
developed a prevention-based approach to keep our
children safe from those who would harm them.
At the Moore Center, our goal is to change how
we think about child sexual abuse prevention and,
ultimately, contribute to millions of boys and girls
growing up safe from sexual abuse.
“Thank you for attending this important symposium
and for your interest in the Moore Center for the
Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse.”
—Steve Moore, MD, MPH ’93
