• The interpreter should have the ability in
conducting public speaking
• The movement of the eyes
– The eyes of the speaker should face the
audience and he should speak to the
audience instead of speaking to himself
• The movement of the hands
– The hands should be moved appropriately.
Usually they should not be moved or lifted
more than the height of the shoulders

The interpreter should have broad general
knowledge of the field of the message so that he
will be able to interpret it properly

able to predict the speaker’s style.

An interpreter should be able to have a proper
reaction time. He should be able to know when he
should begin to interpret.
