future in English
Read the following paragraph. Pay attention
to the expression of Future.
So there I am sitting in my seat, on the verge of a
nervous breakdown. ‘We are about to leave,’
says the man next to me, grinning. The noise of
the engine is deafening and I’m on the point of
being sick. The steward bends over me and
says, ‘We’re due to take off soon, sir. Would you
like sweets or cotton wool?’ ‘I’d rather have the
cotton wool, please. Whenever I have sweets,
they fall out of my ears.’
