The RTIRN invites you to its workshop:
Road Safety Interventions
On September 30th and October 1st
The RTIRN is organizing a two day workshop for the Asia Pacific
region on strategies and programs for the prevention of road
traffic injuries and related disability.
Conference Objectives
•To identify, through the best evidence available, the best
practices and interventions to prevent the high burden that RTIs
impose on low and middle income countries in the region.
•To highlight the importance of disability prevention by including
experts from the area in the scientific program and inviting
people working in the sector to attend this workshop.
•To contribute to the U.N. Global Decade of Action’s objective of
“stabilising then reducing the forecasted level of global road
fatalities, by increasing activities conducted at regional and
global levels”.
Workshop will be held on the Whare Waka in the city of
Wellington, New Zealand as a satellite meeting to the Safety
2012 World Conference to be held in Wellington, October 1-4,
2012
