Impact Model Tool
An interactive tool for building and
sharing evidence-based models of
change for health programs
Try it at: impactmodeltool.org
This RADAR tool helps users develop evidence-based
models of change for their health programs.
Users can view libraries of impact models developed
by technical experts, or build and share their own
models with colleagues, donors, and other users
around the world.
The tool highlights gaps in program logic that will
limit effectiveness, guiding users to improve
programs in the planning stage. Built-in information
on core activities, outputs, and outcomes prompts
users to develop robust monitoring and evaluation
plans.
Create new impact models with standard or
custom elements, using existing models or submodels as a base.
Easily reformat and annotate models for
planning, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Customize styles, colors, layout, and interactivity.
Download impact models as high-resolution
images.
View information on best practices for
measuring program activities,
outputs, outcomes, and impact.
Specify indicators, data sources, and
targets for each element in a model.
Automatically compile and export an
indicator table to form the basis of a
monitoring and evaluation plan.
