WEST BENGAL. INDIA. FACULTY PROFILE c ompleted his master degree in Commerce from the University of Calcutta with 1st Class and stood second in 1995. He has passed both NET and SLET in 1997. Along with the professional qualifications (Intermediate) from the ICAI, he achieved GDCA in 1997 from La Mare Institute of Information Technology. He also achieved a Diploma in Junior Book Keeping & Accountancy from the Board of Commercial Education, West Bengal. He completed his Ph.D. Degree from the Department of Business Management, University of Calcutta in February, 2008. Dr. Dhar has a full-time teaching experience of 16 years. Before joining this university, he has served the Department of Commerce of Vivekananda College, Kolkata as the Head of Department. Besides, he has taught as a guest teacher or as a visiting faculty member / counselor for almost 18 years in different eminent colleges of kolkata and in the post-graduate Department of Commerce with Farm Management in Vidyasagar University, West Bengal. He has also served as a Guest Faculty Member in the MBA Department of IISWBM, Kolkata, in the BBA, MBA & BCA Departments of Institute of Management Study, Kolkata and also as a Guest Lecturer & Counselor, in the M.Com & MSW Departments of IGNOU, different Study Centres, Kolkata and NSOU, Howrah Chapter. Apart from his main thrust area i.e., finance, he takes a lot of interest in information technology. He has authored Nineteen (19) books and also Sixty Nine (69) research articles published in different regional, national & international journals. He has supervised 11 M.Phil Dissertations and 01 Ph.D. Dissertation of different candidates 2 under Calcutta University, VMU, Singhania University, Manav Bharti University and WBUT, most of whom are college and school teachers. He has also edited two journals named ‘info.com’ and ‘bodhi artham’ published by the Department of Commerce, Vivekananda College, Kolkata.
