The Ad-Hoc query/report functionality will be determined during implementation. The
desire is to have a OLAP cube that users could utilize with PowerPivot or other BI type
tools. There are security issues that would have to be worked out in order for this to
happen though. If the security issues cannot be worked out then it would be possible to
create a simple ad-hoc tool that allows users to create their own queries using a report
model and then get a table of data that they could then plugin to a report tool / model of
their choosing.
