Oregon Ocean Commercial Dungeness Crab Permit Holders and Interested Persons,
Fishery managers from Washington, Oregon and California met today to review results of the first
round of pre-season crab testing (posted at http://www.psmfc.org/crab/) and determine a season
opening structure. Based on those results, managers from all three states agreed to open the
Dungeness crab fishery from Point Arena, California to Klipsan Beach, Washington on Dec. 1. The
details for the opening in Oregon are as follows:
73 hr presoak begins (setting gear): November 28, 8:00AM
Hold Inspections: November 30, see back page
Start date (pulling gear): December 1, 9:00AM

* Please note the Newport ODFW office will be closed the day after Thanksgiving (Nov.28) as well.
