Goals: • To help CAAG members formulate ideas for comments on the Draft RMP/EIS; • To clarify agreements, areas for possible agreement and clear disagreements to help guide the next phase of CAAG and BLM work; and • To help BLM and CAAG get prepared for the analysis needed for the Proposed RMP/Final EIS. Please note: the day will include small and large group discussions. Attendance in person is recommended if you wish to be an active part of the small group discussions. MEETING AGENDA NOTE: Timing is provided as an estimate. Times may flex as needed to support useful discussions. 9:30 Welcome and Introductory Business • Introductions and Agenda Review – Donna Silverberg o 1/7 & 8 Draft Meeting Summary: Review & Approval • Advisory nature of CAAG’s work • Process and Timeline Update-Mark Brown, Project Manager • Outreach update-Sarah Levy, Project PAO & Mark Brown, Project Manager 10:00 Summary Information about the Analysis-Richard Hardt, IDT Lead • Clarify the types of outcome statements that will be useful to BLM at this point in the planning process 10:15 Small Groups To kick off the discussion about specific desired outcomes, the group will be provided a preparation worksheet (for use with the draft summary from the January meeting as a guide). Steps for this process: 1) Fill in the worksheet prior to the session 2) Share the outcomes selected in small, diverse groups (e.g. state, county, tribal and federal rep at each table). Each government or agency will have one spokesperson to answer the questions. 3) In small groups, note where there are agreements, areas for possible agreement with some refinements, and areas of clear disagreement NOON - Get lunch on your own (menus will be provided for on-site ordering) 12:30 Large Group • The areas of agreement, disagreement and possible agreement will be listed on the board prior to the whole group discussing ideas for resolving the areas of disagreement 2:00 Review and Next Steps • Clarify next steps from BLM’s perspective • Clarify next steps from CAAG’s perspective 2:30 Adjourn Note: Breaks will be taken when as the group needs them.
