Lab Tech Intern at Trace Metals Environmental Lab in Seattle
Are you interested in a science discipline and desiring real-world experience? You’re in luck, because
Brooks Rand Labs is hiring a student laboratory technician! In this position, you will do a variety of tasks
required at an analytical lab. You will gain experience in clean sample handling technique and practices,
following SOPs and EPA methods, and sample preparation.
Brooks Rand Labs is an environmental lab specializing in the analysis of trace metals and mercury. To

fast paced environment that is full of people who are enthusiastic about what we do. We are located in
Fremont, just north of downtown Seattle. Our facilities are located less than a block from the BurkeGilman Trail and overlook the Ship Canal.
Requirements: The candidate must have completed at least one semester of Chemistry coursework in
high school or college. The candidate must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (transcript may be requested at
time of interview).
The compensation will be $9.00/hour with an expected workload of 10-19 hours/week, and up to 40
hours/week during the summer. The work hours are flexible and may include work on weekends and/or
late afternoons and evenings to fit you schedule. This position is not eligible for benefits.
