form). The purpose of these repoorts is to subbmit the resuults of the cuurrent year’s ESR monitooring
to the WO
O and requeest additionall funding in 2822 and 28881 for FY20010. Use paarts 1, 3, andd 4
for projeccts from 200
07 and 2008.. Use Part 2 for projectss from 2006. In additionn, if all of thee
objectivees for stabilizzation and/or rehabilitatiion on a 20007 or 2008 fire have beenn met and noo
further fuunding is neeeded for FY 2010, use Part 2 for a fiinal close ouut report.

The districts are reminded that all treatments which you are requesting funding for need to be
entered into the National Fire Plan Operations and Reporting System (NFPORS) by Sept. 30,
2009 to be considered for funding. All treatments completed in FY09 also need to be closed out
in NFPORS by the same date.
The Final Monitoring Summary Reports for the 2006 projects that are being closed out must be
sent to the OSO by COB September 24, 2009.

([email protected]) by the respective due dates.
Timeframe: Effective immediately
Budget Impact: There isn't any immediate budget impact on FY 2009; however, the required
submissions will be used to establish funding allocations and accomplishments for FY 2010.
Background: These bureau-wide annual reports were instituted, in-part, after the FY2000 GAO
audit described deficiencies in intra-agency ESR coordination, monitoring, and monitoring
results.

BLM Handbook H-1742-1 (Burned Area Emergency Stabilization and Rehabilitation
02/12/2007)
