Subject:
Oregon/Washington Engineering Training Conference
Attachment (1) is the agenda for the Oregon/Washington Engineering Training Conference scheduled for April 20-22,
2004, at the Mount Bachelor Village Resort in Bend, Oregon. The workshop will start at 8:00 am on April 20 and end
at 5:00 pm on April 22, 2004.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Mount Bachelor Village Resort in Bend, OR (Map enclosed as Attachment
(2)) for conference participants at a rate of $59.00 single or double occupancy, plus tax. The phone number for
reservations is 1-800-452-9846. You should make your reservations by March 20, 2004 and mention that you are with
the Bureau of Land Management Engineering Training Conference in order to receive the group rate.
Although travel dollars are tight this year, I highly recommend your engineering program support staff and managers
attend this conference. It is organized to provide mandatory COR/PI training and essential technical and contracting
information to those involved in Oregon/Washington engineering program. To keep costs down, the conference is only
held every few years.
The workshop is open to any personnel you may wish to have attend. If you have any questions about the workshop,
please contact Paul Fredericks, State Engineer at (503) 808-6404.
Districts with Unions are reminded to notify their unions of this Information Bulletin and satisfy any bargaining
obligations before implementation. Your servicing Human Resources Office or Labor Relations Specialist can provide
you assistance in this matter.
