Subject:
Transfer of Internet/Intranet Services to the Branch of
Information Resources Management
Effective October 1, 2005, Oregon/Washington’s (OR/WA’s) Internet and Intranet services will
be transferred from the Communications Division (OR-912) to the Branch of Information
Resources Management (OR-955). OR-912 will retain oversight and approval of content posted
on our public websites.
David Haney, Information Management Section (OR-955.2), is the Team Lead and point of
contact for future Web development activities. David is also coordinating the reconnection of
OR/WA web content to the Bureau Internet. You may contact David at (503) 808-6429.
David will soon be soliciting input from Districts and Divisions regarding current Web sites and
activities. He will also lead the development of new policy and procedures for future OR/WA
Internet and Intranet activities.
Please welcome David to this new task with your cooperation and good humor.
Districts with Unions are reminded to notify their unions of this Information Bulletin and satisfy
any bargaining obligations before implementation. Your servicing Human Resources Office or
Labor Relations Specialist can provide you assistance in this matter.
