Subject meeting to address Deferred Maintenance/Capital Improvement (DM/CI) project
submittals has been scheduled in Portland, Oregon on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 located in
Conference rooms, 3C&E from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The meeting will include a brief overview of the DM/CI program to summarize how projects get
into the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLMs) Five-Year Plan and how they are funded.
District representatives will discuss and review the Oregon/Washington (OR/WA) FY2006,
DM/CI project submissions. Review of proposed projects will include critiques to help ensure
prompt acceptance into the Five Year DM/CI Plan and share understanding of how others with
review responsibilities respond to our written project requests. The DM/CI Project Data Sheets
have been requested in IB No. OR-2006-031 and are due January 18, 2006.
Please identify those who will attend from your District by February 1, 2006 and send that
information to Tom Wilczek. A block of rooms at the Embassy Suites Hotel have been held
under the BLM DM/CI, for February 13 – 14, 2006, at the reservation number (503) 279-9000.
In order to hold the rooms, reservations must be made by January 23, 2006.
