Biennial Cruiser/Appraiser Training
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Oregon State Office has approved the Fiscal Year
(FY) 2012 Oregon/Washington/California Cruiser/Appraiser training. The training will be held
at the Shilo Inn in Newport, Oregon beginning Monday, January 30, at 1:00 pm and ending at
12:00 am, Thursday, February 2, 2012.
This year’s training is designed for BLM cruiser/appraisers and foresters from throughout
Oregon, Washington and California with emphasis on facilitating program coordination,
direction, implementation and enhancing the quality, knowledge and skills needed in forest
product measurements and valuations.
Advance notification of this training was provided to managers and key personnel in the FY2012
Planning Target Allocations directives. You can register for this training in DOI Learn by
searching for the class name of “BLM-2012-0130-Newport, OR.” It will be listed under the
course “Cruiser/Appraiser Training.”
All Attendees are responsible for making their own lodging reservations. BLM has reserved a
block of rooms at the government, tax-exempt rate of $83.00 at the Shilo Inn located at 536 SW
Elizabeth St. in Newport, Oregon. Please call 541-265-7701 for reservations and give the
operator the group name ‘BLM’.
