South Fork Walla
Walla Trailhead
The South Fork Walla Walla trail is
popular for hiking, mountain biking,
horseback riding, and motorcycling.
After a 3-mile hike along the
beautiful South Fork Walla Walla
River, you enter the Umatilla
National Forest, and trails continue
from there. The Trailhead provides a
great place to relax and picnic
alongside the river.
This area is very special and was designated an Area of Critical Environmental Concern
(ACEC) in 1994. In order to prevent deterioration of the areas many resource values, the
1,955 acre ACEC is closed to overnight camping.
