Vale BLM Fire is currently looking for seasonal and hire-when-needed firefighters for the 2013 fire season. Our local fire season generally runs
from June into mid October. Previous fire experience is a plus but not a requirement. You must meet the minimum requirements to qualify. High
quality training and most equipment is provided. Some low cost housing is available during the summer months for certain positions. Some travel
may be required. Applications are being taken from Nov 28 – April 30, but those accepted before January 10 are given early consideration.

Minimum requirements:
•Must be 18 years of age at the time of hire and a US Citizen
•Must have a high school diploma or GED
•Subject to a random drug test
•Must pass a government provided medical examination and pass the physical fitness test (PACK test)
•Must pass a federal background check
•Must pass the government provided basic fire school training
