In 2012, BLM used money collected from Yakima River Can‐
yon recreaƟon fees to:
 Help fund a law enforcement contract between BLM and Kiƫtas County Sheriff’s Department for addiƟonal weekend and nighƫme law enforcement coverage of BLM recreaƟon sites in the Yakima River Canyon.  Repair vandalism to recreaƟon sites and outhous-
 Install tent pads for walk-in camping sites at Big Pines.  Provide funding for addiƟonal signing at recrea-
Ɵon sites.  Repair winter flood damage at BLM recreaƟon sites. es.  Help fund Yakima Canyon staff to provide visitor contact and maintenance services during the summer.  Replaced decking on the bridge at Umtanum which had large gaps and was a safety hazard.  Help fund pumping of outhouses at all sites twice annually  Re‐imburse the camp‐host for mileage expenses. Have suggesƟons on how to spend the fee money collected this year?
