Celebrate Halloween at Yaquina Head
Newport, OR The Bureau of Land Management at Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area
invites visitors to celebrate Halloween at the Interpretive Center. Continuing a 19th century
tradition, the lighthouse keepers will dress in their wives’ clothing and the wives will dress in the
lighthouse keepers’ uniforms. Children who tell a joke or riddle for the rangers will receive a
treat.
The park entrance fee is $7.00/vehicle (3-Day Pass). Accepted passes include Yaquina Head
Annual Pass, Oregon Pacific Coast Passport, and Federal Annual, Golden Age, Military, Access,
Volunteer and Every Kid in a Park Passes.
The Interpretive Center will be open for trick-or-treating Halloween day from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m. Beginning, Sunday, November 1st, the Interpretive Center will be open 10:00 a.m. until 4:00
p.m. All other areas of the park will be open from 8:00 a.m. to dusk.
